Just because you have bad credit, low income loans should not be out of reach. The trick is to find as many online loan services and simply compare the results.

Many sites will take your information and pass it along to multiple lending services to get you the best deal possible. We’ll list some services further down that you can take a look at and begin the comparison process. I highly recommend you keep a spreadsheet or tablet of paper, labeled with columns to keep track of who is offering which types of benefits.

Most importantly is to determine the interest rates that will be applied to the loan. Having bad credit will greatly impact this and your low income status should not reflect the interest rate. That is unless your current debt to income ratio is within a certain percentage. So regardless if you make $100,000 a year or $10,000 a year, being over-extended will destroy your chances of receiving a loan.

On the other hand, it doesn’t hurt to try.

Depending on your credit rating and the reasons why your credit has suffered can also have a great impact on you qualifying for a loan at reasonable interest rates. With the exception of owning a home and using the equity to qualify you for the loan. But again, that is dependent on your debt ratio.

Another suggestion I have is for you to get a free copy of your credit report. You can get it for free, so don’t pay for it, unless you really need your rating from the 3 credit bureaus. I use Experian just to get a general idea of where my credit is. Keep in mind that the different bureaus will rate you differently, so your score will not be the same with each of them.
